Dedicated Server Build Button

One menu item builds a headless dedicated server for Linux or Windows from your Build Settings scenes, with a run script and a zip. Free.

Coming soon In preparation. Free. Submitted to the Asset Store once Ship It is live.

What it does

Unity 6 can build a dedicated server, but getting there means finding the subtarget, remembering the module, adding your server define and writing a start script. Dedicated Server Build Button is one menu item instead.

Tools > Dedicated Server > Build Linux Server (or Build Windows Server) builds the enabled scenes in Build Settings as a headless server with SERVER_BUILD defined, into a fresh folder under Builds, adds run.sh or run.bat with the batch-mode arguments, and zips the result without debug symbols. If the Dedicated Server module is missing, a dialog names the module to add in Unity Hub. Player Settings are never modified.

For CI there is one -executeMethod entry per platform with exit code 0 or 1.

Need build profiles, Steam upload, Dockerfiles or CI workflows? Ship It does the rest.
